Ratchet & Clank review

Ratchet & Clank is a cult platformer on PS2. In 2002, Insomniac Games showed the world the first part of the adventures of Ratchet and Clank. Ratchet is the last representative of the lombaks race in the galaxy and Clank is a conceited little robot. Also, Insomniac Games created such games as Sunset Overdrive and the latest version of Spider-Man.

The game Ratchet & Clank turned out to be one of the most-loved platformers on PS2. Interesting, sometimes difficult levels, collecting useful screws and nice graphic design make the title cool even years later. For this reason, the creators decided to release a renewed version of the adventures of Ratchet and Clank.

The plot tells the adventures of the catlike Ratchet and the robotic Clank, which are largely based on the version from 2002, but the creators decided to make some changes to adapt the game into a movie. The meeting of the heroes and the discovery of the plot by the president of Dreek is still the main plot. However, it has been subjected to subtle changes that people familiar with the original version will detect.

Ratchet & Clank review

In the new version of the game, the dialogues have been adapted to the younger audience, for example, one of the characters instead of demanding payment for information willingly shares knowledge and helps to get means of transportation. The hero duo is trying to find Captain Qwark and his team of Galactic Guardians, who are the only hope for saving the galaxy from the evil Drerek, wanting to destroy the universe to form a new planet for his race with its matter.

The fun itself focuses on jumping on platforms, fighting opponents and collecting various items. The remake for PlayStation 4 offers several innovations in game mechanics.
